      Default He wont call

I have been dating this guy for two weeks today. last Thursday he went to work after staying with me for the night and everything was good that morning. well he went to work and when he got there the found out that he was going to be on call for this team he is apart of at the local hospital he works for. Used to be he had an hour to respond well now they only give him 30 min to respond to an accident. well i live 45 min away so he cant come here. So I talked to him that same night and he said he had to stay over at work a few hours because one of his machines broke down and he is maintenance. he didn't get off work til 230am. he went home and got a few hours of sleep before they called him back into work at 6am to finish fixing his equipment. This is friday morning at 6am. I waited until noon to call him thinking that he was still in bed. Low and behold he was at work. he was mad as a hornet. he was going on lunch break so i could talk to him. We talked for maybe 3 min and he told me that his daughter was sick with either pneumonia or the whooping cough. she would be under quarantine for 5 days. They wouldn't find out til today (7/12/10) what her illness is exactly without the test results. so i called him at 9pm on Friday night and i told him that i came up with a plan that he could still stay on the hert team and see me at the same time. he wanted to know what it was so i told him and he liked the idea. so i told him that if he wanted on Tuesday night i would drive over to his place and stay with him. Well I tried to text him and call him since Saturday and he has not responded. He wont call me at night like he usually did before we started dating. he wont txt me. I have not heard a word from him and i am worried. I like this guy alot and he would always say that our relationship was worth working for because we have so much in common and i was everything he has been looking for. I go to bed crying my eyes out because I dont know what to do. my friends tell me "to leave him alone just txt him and tell him that when he needs you then i will be there". I miss him talking to me. i know two weeks is not long enough to get to know a person but we have a very strong connection. Like i have known him for years. Please can someone help me and give me advice? i dont know what to do!!! heart broken and hurt

      Default So so sorry

I don't know how old you are or really anything about you, but I can tell you that you've only just met this person. I have been married to a person like this for almost 28years. There will always be another trip, another reason, another excuse why he doesn't-can't love you back the way that you should be loved. It hurts so much to think that your feelings are so genuine and not returned by this man. Unfortunatly, he is telling you, in the way that men so often do, that he isn't interested in pursuing your relationship anymore. WHo knows why they act like they do- warm and loving one minute and able to cut the love like a faucet the next. I am almost 50, but you sound like a young person. As corney as it sounds, know that you are a person worthy of love and that there is someone out there that will show you the love that you had looked to him to provide if you don't disable your chances of finding that love by focusing so much time, energy and love on this person. Focus on yourself for now. Fake it if you have to until you really do feel good about yourself. I know first hand how painful the betrayal and rejection is. It can consume you easily. No one is really that busy. I have made every excuse for my husband- believing that one day he would have a revelation and realize how lucky he is to have someone that loves him and has stood by him all these years. It hasn't happened yet. I wish I had my 28 years back and I was as young as you and had my whole life to choose again. There are worse things than being rejected. You can keep an ambivalent partner, hoping that one day he will love you the way you want him to- only to find out that he is never going to and you've spent your whole life unhappy-waiting for something that will never come. My most loving words to you are to to walk away from this one and be so glad that you are not giving up on the chance to find the real love of your life. Good luck- keep taking care of yourself and know that you have a great capacity for love- let it find you.
