- Intimidation: Men can pretend to be extremely confident when they are on a first date. They want to impress you in every way they can. The reality is they are intimidated by your success and beauty. If you are more successful than them, they will disappear.
- Lost the phone: If your date went well and you thought there was chemistry, he most likely lost his phone. If he said he would call, he probably wanted to but somehow misplaced his cellphone.
- Judgemental: If you put salt on your food before tasting it, that shows that you are judging the food to be bland. He probably thinks you judge everything before giving it a chance. This can turn a man who is insecure away.
- Text messaging: If you are constantly answering text messages during your date, this lets him know you are not paying attention to him. Men need attention in order to feel wanted. If you cannot give him the attention he needs on a first date, he knows he will not get the attention months down the road.
- Tight wad: If you show up for your first date wearing a business suit and your hair slicked back, he might think you take everything to seriously. Most men don’t want an uptight girlfriend. They want a laid back and relaxed woman to hang out with.
- One word answers: If he is asking you multiple questions about who you are, he obviously wants to get to know you. When you answer with short, one word answers, he will get the feeling you could care less about this date. The first impression is everything. If you don’t care about the first date, you probably wont care about anymore.
- The list for him: Some men, not many, have a list of what they want their woman to be. They will list different appearance qualities and personality qualities. If you don’t meet these requirements, your booted.
- The list for you: If you go into the first date with a list of requirements, the man can normally tell. If you are asking certain questions he might get the feeling you are searching for your perfect man. He probably doesn’t want to be the ken to your Barbie.
- Assuming he will pay: When the check comes, if you automatically assume he is paying, he can get the sense you are looking for a sugar daddy. It will be better to reach for the check to act like you are going to pay your part. He will most likely grab it and say “Oh no, its on me”. If he feels you are looking for a sugar daddy, he will probably run away fast.
- The stalker: If you are waiting for a phone call, don’t pursue him first. The worst thing is when a man gets multiple text messages throughout the night saying “i miss you”, “had a great night”, “cant wait to hear from you” and so on. This will turn him away instantly.
No matter why he decided not to call you back, it is a good idea to let it go. Instead of hunting him down and asking why, tell yourself you are better off without him.
